In the 70’s-90’s, costumes for Raqs Sharqi dripped of heavy beaded fringe.
Moving with heavy fringe gives a specific character to your hipwork. It affects the timing and makes the movements heavier and fuller.
In this 3-week mini course we explore & enjoy classic Raqs Sharqi hipwork in this style – to some awesome music from the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s.
So, if you have a beaded fringe hip belt in your closet it’s time to bring it out!
NOTE – you can take the course also using an ordinary hipscarf, but try to find one with a bit more weight.
